Gloucestershire Branch Annual Ball
On 13 November, a total of 163 guests enjoyed the 2009 Annual Ball, which was held for the fourth year running at the Tortworth Court (Four Pillars) Hotel.
Branch President, Dr Andy Spurr, welcomed table hosts from BNS Nuclear Services, Doosan Babcock, British Energy, Promanex, Oldbury Site and Magnox South.
Dancing to Tailor Music was enjoyed well into the night. Thanks to the generosity of table hosts and sponsors who donated a number of ‘must-have’ raffle prizes, a total of over £7,000 was raised for EEIBA funds.
During the evening a cheque for £29,500 was presented to Branch Chairman, Mark Hannan, by Dr Spurr, representing the proceeds from the record breaking Gloucestershire golf competition held earlier in the year. Next year’s golf competition will be held on Thursday, 1 July 2010.
