Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association - The Electronics Charity

PLEASE SPARE A THOUGHT

The industry charity EEIBA, reports that its support and advice services department has become increasingly busy during the recession.

Chief Executive, Timothy Lambert said, “Unemployment has risen and more people are finding it difficult to make ends meet. Families are living in poor conditions with no spare cash to even enjoy the essential things in life. With winter approaching, the thought of having to find extra cash to pay the electricity and gas bills is causing many to struggle, and for some, there is also the worry of negative equity.

Many industry pensioners live alone and are relying on generous neighbours or Social Services to provide their next meal. There are those who have serious or life threatening illnesses to cope with or have had a terrible run of bad luck.”

Spare a thought and give support
EEIBA is here to help, and will do so, if only so many more were aware of what the charity does. And on the other side, there are many people in our industry who continually provide support to the charity, but for every one of those, there are many who do not realise that EEIBA needs their support too. So if you would like to make a one off, or a regular contribution, or want to support one of the charity’s local or national fundraising events, then EEIBA would be pleased to hear from you. Just call: 020 8673 0131, email: fundraising@eeiba.org or go to www.eeiba.org
