Companion 2007
Peter Angove of EEIBA's Sussex Branch has been a Companion, the highest honour the Association can bestow on a supporter, in recognition of his "signal service" to the EEIBA over many years. Peter has been actively involved in the organisation of the hugely successful Sussex Branch Annual Ball, Brighton, since 1975.
Apart from one year when he was unwell, he has attended every Ball since then. Peter's meticulous attention to detail ensures that each Ball has been organised with a minimum of fuss and maximum fund-raising effect. We owe him a debt of gratitude it is impossible to repay.
Bob Stearns becomes a CompanionBob has served on the Yorkshire Ridings Branch Committee for over 25 years and is a past Chairman. He has been involved with the organisation of the Ball, Christmas Lunch as well as both Golf Days, including the Pro Am Golf event held at Pannal Golf Club each September.
When he first joined the Branch, he was Regional Sales Manager for Crompton Lighting and later moved to a similar role with Hawker Fusegear before finally working for EEIBA as Regional Manager in the North East.
Bob is a popular character within the various sectors of the electrical industry, particularly in Yorkshire, and has made a valuable contribution over many years towards supporting EEIBA.
“This acknowledgement in making him a Companion of the Association is richly deserved”, said Yorkshire Ridings Branch Chairman, Eric Dyer.
