Widow is helped with the necessary paperwork

Iris MacFarlan Iris MacFarlan spent much of her working life in sales centres with various electricity boards such as, SWEB, LEB, SEB and SEEB.

At the age of 83, she has now settled down in Navenby, Lincolnshire, but as so often is the case, she was recently dealt a dreadful blow when she lost her husband of many years.

She approached the EEIBA for help with sorting out the things that need to be done at such a sad time.

Our Regional Welfare Officer paid her a visit and learnt that her late husband had been Night Editor of the Daily Mail and had also been a freelance contributor to the electrical trade press.

Iris, being no mean cook, had also over many years, provided recipes for various magazines. The Regional Welfare Officer helped Iris with the necessary paperwork so as to ease her burden and the EEIBA was also able to partfund the cost of her husband's funeral.
