Help with an EPV

Mr SimnettJim Simnett (pictured above) is 69 and lives in Winshill, near Burton on Trent, having worked for a number of years at Drakelow Power Station.

He approached EEIBA about two years ago to see whether we could help him with the cost of a new gas cooker. EEIBA's local Regional Welfare Officer paid him a visit to get the necessary details and we were able to help him buy his new cooker.

Since then, Jim's health has worsened causing great difficulty walking very far, so he contacted EEIBA to ask if we would help with the purchase of an electric powered vehicle.

EEIBA contacted another charity, which kindly assisted with some financial help. Jim was able to buy the EPV, which has made life a lot easier.

He is now able to get out and about to visit the shops and to call on his three daughters and nine grandchildren!
