Cyril hears again

Cyril HorobinCyril Horobin (left), was an electrical fitter at Rugeley Power Station from 1968 - 1991.

He is in his 70s and lives in Brereton, Staffordshire with his wife Gloria. Cyril is profoundly deaf with his NHS hearing aids having little effect, which meant that he was living in a silent world.

Again the two organisations got together, with RWE npower fully funding a set of digital hearing aids that have dramatically changed Cyril's life allowing him to enjoy TV and conversation with other people for the first time in years.

This has allowed Gloria and Cyril to take a coach tour of Scotland where he was able to enjoy sounds that he has not heard for many a year.

These are just three examples of how the EEIBA can work with others. The support given by other charities and benevolent funds allows the EEIBA Support and Advice Services to help more people in need.
