A three-year wait is over!

Mrs Knight

If you are in your nineties and are finding it difficult to have bath, then be prepared for a three-year wait for a shower - if you live in Oldham.

Mrs Knight, whose late husband worked for Ferranti, lives in a council bungalow and although she is incredibly active for 92, she finds it extremely difficult getting in and out of her bath.

Her daughter approached EEIBA to see whether we could help with the cost of installing a walk in shower.

The Regional Welfare Officer researched the case, obtained permission from the council and was able to obtain full funding.
