Sid gets his privacy

Sid's extension Sid and Lesley Carter live in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, Sid having worked at Didcot Power Station for 32 years.

In recent times he has become wheelchair bound having become a double amputee.

He approached EEIBA's Help Line for support with a Disabled Facilities Grant shortfall of £5,000 as he needed a ground floor extension built onto his house that would contain a bedroom, wet room, toilet and wheelchair access.

A grant was made and now that the extension has been built, Sid is finding general day to day activities considerably easier.

Our Regional Welfare Officer has received a letter of thanks from Sid and Lesley that said, "Needless to say we are thrilled to bits with the extension and the life-style change for Sid gives him his privacy which is so important. We would like to say a big thank you for your contribution it was very much appreciated."
