Mobility and warmth for Frankie

Frankie

Frankie Stringer lives in Spondon, Derby. Her husband who had worked at Willington Power Station for 40 years died some 20 years ago.

Frankie has had two knee replacements but was still having some mobility problems causing her to need help in getting in and out of the bath and getting to the local shops.

She asked EEIBA’s Help Line if we could help with the purchase of an electric powered vehicle (EPV) and a bath lift.

Our Regional Welfare Officer investigated the situation, and was able to help her fulfil her requirements.

It was also noted during the visit that a gas heater in the hall was not working, so a replacement was supplied and fitted.
