Shortfall? Not a problem

Maureen and John John Grumitt, who is disabled, and his wife Maureen who is wheelchair bound, found it necessary to convert a downstairs room into a bedroom.

Their local council awarded them a Disabled Facilities Grant but this, together with a contribution they were able to raise themselves, left a large shortfall.

They approached the EEIBA to see if the charity could help. Our Regional Welfare Officer got to work and with some additional funding from another charity, the EEIBA made a contribution.

When Maureen and John were given the good news they said, "Without this help from the EEIBA, we would not have been able to have got this work done.

The new downstairs bedroom has helped to make life so much easier for us."
